  • Northern Region Workshop at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, ChanakyaPuri, New Delhi – on 20th & 21st December, 2011
  • Southern Region Workshop at Chennai – on 27th & 28th December, 2011
Good Governance is a key to the growth and sustainability of Voluntary Organizations. The credibility and efficient functioning of an organization depend to a great extent on its Governance. We are pleased to invite you to participate in a workshop on “Accountable Governance and Transparency of Voluntary Organizations” focusing on good governance and the legal framework for non-profit organizations.

CA has planned to organize region wise workshops for members in the Northern, Eastern & Southern Region.
 
Objective of Workshop:
The overall objective of this workshop is to develop a good understanding on governance and a common understanding on good practices.
 
The specific objectives are to gain knowledge on:
  • Accountable Governance & Board processes
  • Effective Financial Management
  • Importance and integration of transparency in organizational systems and practices
  • Recent developments in legal framework (New FCRA 2010 & Direct Taxes Code) and its implications for Voluntary Organizations
Methodology
The methodology will include interactive discussions with case study exercises engaging the participants in group work.
 
The exact venue details for Northern & Southern Region workshops will be informed as soon as it is confirmed.
 
Workshop for Western Region will be organized during the first quarter of 2012.
 
Resource Team
The Resource Team includes experts from the Voluntary Sector which will soon be intimated to you.
 
Course Fee
Course Fee amounts to Rs. 1,000 per participant in this workshop which can be paid by either by Cheque or Demand Draft drawn in favour of  “Credibility Alliance” payable at New Delhi. In case of Bank Transfer, the amount may be credited in favour of  “Credibility Alliance”, ICICI bank account no. 022401000390
 
Participants will be provided with besides course material with refreshments and lunch during the workshop.
 
Registration is limited to a maximum of 30 participants on First Come First Serve Basis.
 
Travel & Accommodation
Travel Cost for participation in this workshop may be taken care of at your end. Accommodation will be provided for those organizations that are not based in Bhubaneswar.
 
Lunch with two times tea and snacks will be provided during the above two days.
 
Who can attend?
From each organization, we invite the following persons:
  • Chairperson or a Senior Board Member
  • Chief Functionary
We suggest those members interested to participate in the Regional Workshop and are not based in Delhi/Chennai to kindly plan their travel so that they reach Delhi latest by 19th December, 2011 evening and Chennai workshop latest by 26th December, 2011 evening. Other members are requested to reach the above venue by 9.00 a.m. for Registration Process.
